Hello! I am Doug Dobrzynski, and I have been building websites since fifth grade, when I began teaching myself HTML and CSS. I began working with Drupal in 2009 and have experience managing a support and development web help desk, which grew 300% under my guidance.

I am also interested in Release Management, promoting good process, developing a culture of camaraderie and teamwork, sustainable development, documentation, and training.

My position at PMMI Media Group involves working with Drupal (versions 6 through 8) and PHP web applications built using the Yii and Symfony frameworks. My current big project involves an integration between Salesforce and one of our web applications. Additionally, I contribute to strategic discussions regarding technology decisions and have served as the technical lead on projects consisting of one to four developers.

One of the ways I stay up to date and connected is by actively participating in the Drupal Chicago community. I organize the monthly meetups that occur on the first Wednesday of the month and help organize Midwest Drupal Camp (MidCamp), an annual event held in Chicago that brings together people who use, develop, design, and support Drupal.

In my free time, I enjoy reading (particularly Stephen King and poetry), writing poetry, drawing, working out, and running on the Chicago Lakefront Trail.
